SWSCALE offers three tiers of Software Adapter solutions as part of the SWSCALE Software Suite, providing flexibility for any type of operation or industry:
TIER 0
The Tier 0 level of our Scale application is completely indicator-based. The transaction database resides on the indicator, and keeps a record of the last 500 transactions. Retrieval of the data from the indicator is done manually via RLWS Interchange software.
The following features are included in Tier 0:
1. Sequential Ticket Number
2. Gross/Tare/Net Weight Ticket
3. Tons Conversion
4. Driver
5. Product
6. Customer
7. Stored Tare Weights
8. Ticket Reprinting
9. *Customizable Scale Tickets
TIER 1
The Tier 1 level of our Scale application pairs the Tier 0 level with a powerful Windows-based, back-end adapter that was developed right here at SWSCALE. The transaction database for this level resides on the indicator but is now also backed up by a MySQL database on an industrial PC. Retrieval of the data is now done automatically by the adapter to the industrial PC.
The following features are included in Tier 1:
1. Sequential Ticket Number
2. Gross/Tare/Net Weight Ticket
3. Tons Conversion
4. Driver
5. Product
6. Customer
7. Stored Tare Weights
8. Ticket Reprinting
9. *Customizable Scale Tickets
10. *Customizable Reporting
11. PDF Ticket Storage
12. Data Backup Facilities
13. Data Export Function (.csv)
TIER 2
The Tier 2 level of our Scale application is the most powerful of the three tiers. Tier 2 is completely identical to the Tier 1 level, with the addition of a few extra features.
Including all features from Tier 1, the Tier 2 application has these additional features:
1. Text Ticket (Driver)
2. E-mail Ticket (Customer)
**OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
We can add any of these optional features to work with Tier 1 or Tier 2 applications:
1. Signature Pad
2. Camera Systems
3. Scanned Invoices
4. Barcode Scanning
5. Message Centers
6. Additional Data Point Capture

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Software Suite adapter is an add-on that reads transactional data from a Scale indicator and deposits that data into a MySQL database on a computer attached to the same network as the indicator. The data in the indicator is read by the “adapter” and provides a near real time log.
The user imports a “snapshot” of current data from the MySQL database using the free MySQL plug-in for Excel. The data is then available for analysis, reporting, redistribution or importing into other software applications. Sorting functions are automatically included on the top row for each column of data and importing can be specified by date and time to reduce the amount of data shown on a single Excel sheet.
Whether you use a single or multiple indicators, all data is consolidated onto one computer and in one MySQL database. The host computer must have a network connection to all scale indicators and the indicators must have static IP addresses. The host computer must have a static IP address as well, and any firewalls/routers must have the proper port open for that host. Remote access to the data is possible.
Databases on the indicator contain dropdown selections such as ingredients and quantities for batch recipes, customer details and other options. These can be edited in Excel and uploaded back to the indicator. The transaction database on the indicator that contains “as made” batch log, date and time, measured weight, etc. cannot be uploaded back to the indicator. Therefore, a permanent record is maintained.
Proper credentials are needed to access the databases.
