WE WERE INVOLVED IN A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!
Back in 2014, SWSCALE sponsored and supported the efforts of El Sol Foods’ successful attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest serving of salsa!
The record was broken on Friday, March 7th, 2014, with a giant tub of salsa weighing in at a whopping 7308 lbs!
The floor scale that was donated by SWSCALE to weigh the salsa for the new record, was a 5’ x 5′ Scale that had a capacity of up to 10,000 lbs!
The salsa was served at the 30th Annual My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge held at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, AZ.
The event was a fundraiser for a great cause, the Arizona Hemophilia Association.
News Channels 3 and 10 (both of Phoenix, AZ) covered the day’s events.
The competition had over 100 entries of freshly made salsa and attendees were able to enjoy all the chips and salsa they could eat!
