Since 1948, SWSCALE has been delivering high-quality weighing solutions and Scale Calibration services to customers across Arizona, the region, and the nation.
Founded by Jack Payne and Cliff Taylor, the company started in a small garage in Phoenix, Arizona, answering the state’s growing need for Commercial Truck Scales. Early success led to rapid expansion, and SWSCALE began manufacturing its own Truck Scales, delivering them as fast as they could be produced.
As demand grew, SWSCALE relocated to a larger facility near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. By 1975, further expansion led to another move, solidifying the company’s presence as a leader in the industry.
In 1984, Rollin Dumont relocated his family to Phoenix, Arizona, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the Scale industry. He purchased SWSCALE and led its expansion by broadening the company’s product offerings and establishing it as a sales and service provider for other Scale manufacturers.
Under his leadership, SWSCALE developed the Sidewinder Truck Scale. This proven, reliable, heavy-capacity Scale remains an industry standard today.
In July 2000, Dean and Roger Dumont took on key leadership roles, bringing their expertise, integrity, and progressive approach to the company’s continued success. Their contributions helped strengthen SWSCALE’s reputation as a trusted provider of Scales, Calibration, and Weighing Solutions across multiple industries.
